Soutien à la mobilité internationale Chercheur(e)s invité(e)s 2027 / Incoming SMI (Visiting scholars) 2027

Dans le cadre de sa politique internationale, CNRS Sciences humaines & sociales propose un soutien à la mobilité internationale ayant pour objectif d’accueillir, au sein des unités de recherche dont le CNRS est tutelle ou cotutelle en France et à l’étranger, des chercheur(e)s / enseignant(e)s-chercheur(e)s d’autres pays souhaitant développer ou poursuivre une collaboration. Pour les accueils au sein des unités à l’étranger du CNRS (UMIFRE, IRL et UAR), les chercheur(e)s invité(e)s doivent relever d’institutions de recherche extérieures au pays d’implantation de l’unité d’accueil.

Ce soutien vise à accompagner, dans toutes les disciplines couvertes par le CNRS Sciences humaines et sociales (https://www.inshs.cnrs.fr/sites/institut_inshs/files/download-file/Portail des recherches en sciences humaines %26 sociales_compressed.pdf), le développement des partenariats stratégiques identifiés par le CNRS. 

Modalités du soutien

• Le dispositif soutient des missions d’une durée de 2 semaines à 2 mois. 

• Le soutien accordé par CNRS Sciences humaines & sociales, notifié à l’unité d’accueil, est destiné à contribuer aux frais de mission de la collaboratrice ou du collaborateur étranger (billet d’avion, logement et restauration en France, autres frais de mission).

• Les crédits octroyés dans le cadre du SMI entrant sont des crédits sur subvention d’Etat qui doivent par conséquent impérativement être dépensés pendant l’année civile d’obtention de ces crédits. Aucun report ne sera autorisé sur l’année civile 2028.

• Les missions des invités étrangers seront donc obligatoirement réalisées en 2027.

Les candidatures seront évaluées sur la base de leur qualité et de leur contribution aux objectifs scientifiques de l’unité d’accueil et aux priorités scientifiques de CNRS Sciences humaines & sociales. A la suite des arbitrages, les résultats seront envoyés par email aux candidat(e)s à la mi-décembre 2026 et le soutien financier sera versé à l’unité au plus tôt fin janvier 2027. Il est recommandé de ne prévoir aucun départ de mission avant mars 2027.

Rapport

A l’issue de sa mission, le laboratoire d’accueil s’engage à remettre un rapport d’activités adressé à inshs.international@cnrs.fr au plus tard le 30 avril 2028.

Dossier de candidature

Le dossier de candidature est constitué de 3 parties : la première partie (voir formulaire) et la deuxième partie seront complétées par le laboratoire d’accueil (et un invitant identifié) ; la troisième partie sera complétée par le partenaire invité.

Incoming SMI (Visiting scholars) 2027

Within the framework of its international policy, the CNRS Sciences humaines & sociales offers financial support for incoming international mobility (incoming SMI) with the aim of hosting foreign researchers who wish to develop a collaboration with a CNRS research centre located in France or abroad. For incoming mobility within CNRS units abroad (UMIFRE, IRL and UAR), guest researchers must come from research institutions outside the country where the host unit is located.

This assistance aims to support the development of strategic partnerships identified by the CNRS and the CNRS Sciences humaines & sociales in all the disciplines covered by the institute (https://www.inshs.cnrs.fr/en/humanities-and-social-sciences-research-portal). 

Terms and conditions of support

• This programme supports missions between 2 weeks and 2 months.

• The funding is granted by CNRS Sciences humaines & sociales to the host French research centre, with the aim of covering all or part of the foreign guest’s expenses in France (airfare, accommodation and food in France, as well as other expenses related to the mission).

• The funds granted within the framework of Incoming SMI are State subsidies which must be spent during the calendar year in which they are obtained. No credit transfers will be permitted to the following year.

• Missions by foreign guests must therefore occur in 2027, with the aim of developing scientific collaborations with a CNRS research centre.

Applications will be assessed on the basis of their quality and their contribution to the scientific objectives of the host unit and the scientific priorities of the CNRS. Following the selection meeting, the results will be sent by email to the applicants for mid-December 2026, and the funding will be paid to the unit no earlier than the end of January 2027. It is recommended that you do not plan any visits before the end of March 2027.

Report

Upon completion of the research visit, the host laboratory undertakes to submit an activity report to inshs.international@cnrs.fr by 30 April 2028 at the latest.

Application form

The application file consists of 3 parts: the first part (see application form) and the second part will be completed by the host research centre (and an identified hosting researcher); the third part will be completed by the invited researcher.
