Sharing anthropology

The InSHS's management board has approved the principle of anthropology being a focus subject for 2022. The aim underpinning this is to enhance the visibility of anthropology research and show the full diversity of approaches and forms of work that make this such a rich discipline.

    The chosen theme is "Sharing Anthropology" which covers a wide and adaptable field of work. This includes sharing study objects, methodologies, the history of anthropology, experiences (through portraits of researchers for example), fields, analyses via various methodologies and restitutions. It also covers sharing through new forms of mediation, sharing with other sciences (within and outside the HSS), sharing in the construction of objects, sharing with the public, generational sharing (with schoolchildren and non-academic audiences) and so forth.

      Aims

      • To showcase the work carried out in 2022 in anthropology laboratories and by colleagues belonging to labs that are not part of Section 38. This includes conferences, books, scientific mediation initiatives, etc.
      • To highlight the core profession and the men and women who make it up.
      • To show how anthropology works in dialogue with other disciplines within and outside the HSS. The MITI and Prime 80 projects are good examples of this.
      • To showcase the skills of ethnologists-anthropologists on society matters.
